Harris Benedict Formula

The Harris Benedict Formula is used to adjust your Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) by taking into account your level of activity. The resulting number is the amount of calories you can eat per day in order to maintaining your current weight. Once you know this number, you know that eating below this about will enable you to lose weight, whereas eating above this number will allow you to gain weight.
